The morning session had over 200 participants, while the afternoon session had over 100 participants. In Hong Kong, the afternoon session took place outdoors in a green area because the organizers believed it was important to spend time feeling, loving, and cherishing Mother Earth up close. In Mongolia, due to the cold weather, the event was held indoors. The afternoon session took place in Wu Kau Tang, in an open-air setting. This year, the PPE Power Day focused on three areas: &#8220;Carbon Reduction,&#8221; &#8220;Stop Food Waste,&#8221; and &#8220;Love Our Environment.&#8221; The PPE Committee aimed to set a new benchmark for environmentally friendly Rotary events by minimizing paper usage (99% paperless), providing e-Certificates to speakers, using reusable props for photo-taking, implementing e-Registration at the reception counter, utilizing reusable PPE Committee T-shirts, offering a vegetarian lunch with biodegradable and compostable lunch boxes, and encouraging participants to bring their own water and handkerchiefs to reduce their carbon footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u5728\u9999\u6e2f\uff0c\u4e0a\u5348\u7684\u6d3b\u52d5\u5728\u6148\u6fdf\u74b0\u4fdd\u9858\u884c\u9928\uff08&#8221;\u9858\u884c\u9928&#8221;\uff09\u8209\u884c\u800c\u4e0b\u5348\u7684\u6d3b\u52d5\u5728\u70cf\u86df\u9a30\u7684\u6236\u5916\u74b0\u5883\u8209\u884c\u3002\u4eca\u5e74\u7684PPE Power Day\u6d3b\u52d5\u805a\u7126\u65bc&#8221;\u6e1b\u78b3&#8221;\u3001&#8221;\u505c\u6b62\u98df\u7269\u6d6a\u8cbb&#8221;\u548c&#8221;\u611b\u6211\u5011\u7684\u74b0\u5883&#8221;\u4e09\u65b9\u9762\u3002PPE\u59d4\u54e1\u6703\u65e8\u5728\u70ba\u6276\u8f2a\u6d3b\u52d5\u8a2d\u7acb\u7b26\u5408\u74b0\u4fdd\u7684\u65b0\u6a19\u6e96\uff0c \u4f8b\u5982\u76e1\u91cf\u6e1b\u5c11\u7d19\u5f35\u4f7f\u7528\u91cf\uff0899%\u7121\u7d19\u5316\uff09\u3001\u70ba\u6f14\u8b1b\u5609\u8cd3\u63d0\u4f9b\u96fb\u5b50\u8b49\u66f8\u3001\u4f7f\u7528\u53ef\u91cd\u8907\u4f7f\u7528\u7684\u9053\u5177\u9032\u884c\u62cd\u7167\u3001\u5728\u63a5\u5f85\u8655\u5be6\u65bd\u96fb\u5b50\u8a3b\u518a\u3001\u4f7f\u7528\u53ef\u91cd\u8907\u7a7f\u8457\u7684PPE\u59d4\u54e1\u6703T\u6064\u3001\u63d0\u4f9b\u63a1\u7528\u53ef\u751f\u7269\u964d\u89e3\u7684\u7d20\u98df\u5348\u9910\u76d2\uff0c\u4e26\u9f13\u52f5\u53c3\u8207\u8005\u81ea\u884c\u5e36\u6c34\u548c\u624b\u5e15\u4ee5\u6e1b\u5c11\u78b3\u8db3\u8de1\uff0c\u70ba\u6276\u8f2a\u6d3b\u52d5\u8a2d\u7acb\u7b26\u5408\u74b0\u4fdd\u7684\u65b0\u6a19\u6e96\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full coblocks-animate\" data-coblocks-animation=\"fadeIn\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"674\" src=\"https:\/\/dg-newsletter2324.rid3450.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image009-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dg-newsletter2324.rid3450.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image009-2.png 1024w, https:\/\/dg-newsletter2324.rid3450.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/image009-2-768x506.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Tzu Chi Environmental Action Centre<br>\u6148\u6fdf\u74b0\u4fdd\u9858\u884c\u9928<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Action Centre was established in 2020 with the sponsorship of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. Its mission is to educate the local public about the importance of environmental protection and the factors critical to the sustainable growth of the earth (https:\/\/tzuchieac.org.hk\/en\/). During the event, participants were given a guided tour of the Action Centre, where they learned about the principles of &#8220;Reduce, Reuse, Refuse, Repair, Recycle, and Rethink.&#8221; They also learned about the threat of plastic bottles to the lives of humpback whales, observed a home filled with plastic bottles to simulate the ocean&#8217;s situation, learned that a glass bottle is forever as it takes 1,000,000 years for it to decompose, saw various products made from recycled plastic bottles (such as shoes and blankets), and learned how to make recycled paper. After the tour, participants enjoyed a nutritious and delicious vegetarian lunch served in biodegradable and compostable lunch boxes. Additionally, participants cleaned the lunch boxes before leaving the Action Centre for recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u9858\u884c\u9928\u65bc2020\u5e74\u5728\u9999\u6e2f\u8cfd\u99ac\u6703\u6148\u5584\u57fa\u91d1\u7684\u8d0a\u52a9\u4e0b\u6210\u7acb\u3002\u5b83\u7684\u4f7f\u547d\u662f\u5411\u672c\u5730\u516c\u773e\u5ba3\u50b3\u74b0\u5883\u4fdd\u8b77\u7684\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u4ee5\u53ca\u5730\u7403\u53ef\u6301\u7e8c\u589e\u9577\u7684\u95dc\u9375\u56e0\u7d20\uff08https:\/\/tzuchieac.org.hk\/en\/\uff09\u3002\u5728\u6d3b\u52d5\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u53c3\u8207\u8005\u53c3\u89c0\u4e86\u9858\u884c\u9928\uff0c\u4e86\u89e3&#8221;\u6e1b\u5c11\u3001\u91cd\u8907\u4f7f\u7528\u3001\u62d2\u7d55\u3001\u4fee\u5fa9\u3001\u56de\u6536\u548c\u91cd\u65b0\u601d\u8003&#8221;\u7684\u539f\u5247\u3002\u4ed6\u5011\u9084\u4e86\u89e3\u5230\u5851\u81a0\u74f6\u5c0d\u5ea7\u982d\u9be8\u751f\u547d\u7684\u5a01\u8105\uff0c\u89c0\u5bdf\u4e86\u4ee5\u6a21\u64ec\u6d77\u6d0b\u60c5\u6cc1\u800c\u8a2d\u7684\u4e00\u500b\u5145\u6eff\u5851\u81a0\u74f6\u7684\u5bb6; \u5b78\u5230\u73bb\u7483\u74f6\u7684\u5b58\u5728\u662f\u6c38\u6046\u7684, \u56e0\u70ba\u5b83\u9700\u89811,000,000\u5e74\u624d\u80fd\u5206\u89e3; \u770b\u5230\u4e86\u7531\u56de\u6536\u5851\u81a0\u74f6\u88fd\u6210\u7684\u5404\u7a2e\u7522\u54c1\uff08\u5982\u978b\u5b50\u548c\u6bef\u5b50\uff09;\u4e26\u5b78\u7fd2\u4e86\u5982\u4f55\u88fd\u4f5c\u56de\u6536\u7d19\u3002\u5728\u53c3\u89c0\u7d50\u675f\u5f8c\uff0c\u53c3\u8207\u8005\u4eab\u7528\u4e86\u7528\u53ef\u751f\u7269\u964d\u89e3\u7684\u9910\u76d2\u76db\u88dd\uff0c\u7d93\u71df\u990a\u5e2b\u8a2d\u8a08\u7684\u7f8e\u5473\u7d20\u98df\u5348\u9910\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u53c3\u8207\u8005\u5728\u96e2\u958b\u9858\u884c\u9928\u524d\u9084\u81ea\u884c\u6e05\u6d17\u5348\u9910\u76d2\u4ee5\u9032\u884c\u56de\u6536\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
