Rotary International President Gordon Mclnally and Heather Mclnally were welcomed by 32 Rotarians and spouses at the Ulaanbaatar International Airport. RI President Gordon said travelling to Mongolia was one of his dreams when he was a child. Now his dream has come true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the 4-day Mongolia visit, we visited service projects such as \u201cToilet and Shower Facilities for Suburban School\u201d, \u201cLet\u2019s Read\u201d, \u201cGer for Life\u201d and \u201cTest for Life\u201d. \u201cToilet and Shower Facilities for Suburban School\u201d, a global grant project organised by Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar, helps suburban developing schools build toilet and shower facilities for their boarding students and teachers. \u201cLet\u2019s Read\u201d, a global grant project organised by Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar Peace Avenue, aims to donate English books collected from clubs to local school libraries. This is an ongoing project. Do connect with our fellows if you have resources. \u201cGer for Life\u201d and \u201cTest for Life\u201d were global grant projects organised by Rotary Club of Ulaanbaatar Central. They targeted to improve lives of the underprivileged family or those living in rural areas by providing free Ger and medical testing service with a mobile testing truck. RI President Gordon was impressed by the fantastic service projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RI President Gordon and the team took the opportunity to explore potential cooperation. We had a meeting with the spokesperson of the Mongolian parliament at Parliament House identifying mutual interest between Rotary and Mongolia government, and exploring criteria that Rotarians can work on in the local community. An interview was also conducted by a national television, Eagle News. RI President Gordon mentioned the service projects of Area 9 and Area 10. The work we have done is always the best promotion of Rotary. We should seize every chance to further our reach to the community. Last but not least, three new Clubs, Rotary Club of New Bridge, Rotary Club of Hunnu and Rotary Club of Murun Khuree,were chartered by RI President Gordon. It is indeed our honour to have RI President chartering new clubs in person. Let\u2019s show our warmest welcome to 70 new comers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RI President Gordon and the team also visited Macau on 16 November. We are so grateful to have RI President Gordon to kick off the 3X3 Basketball Interact Cup. RI President Gordon showed his great shot to all participating Interact schools in Macao. Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders. The Interactors utilise all their skills to accomplish their goals on that day. The team also visited Fuhong Society of Macau, a long term service partner of District 3450. We are so willing to help but we don\u2019t want to push our ideas onto beneficiaries. And the best way to understand what they need is to listen. The frontline workers of Fuhong Society of Macau shared with the team of their experience and thoughts on service projects. Last but not least, we finished the day with a banquet with Area 1 Rotarians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team also had a precious time in Hong Kong. We visited two long-standing NGOs, Po Leung Kuk and Jockey Club. Both have a long history of partnership on service projects with our District. When we care, we can make a difference. Together with our service partners, we identified potentials to deliver different service projects in different ways to different beneficiaries with the same goal, Create Hope in the World. We also had a constructive meeting with HKSAR Chief Executive Mr John KC Lee and&nbsp; Legislative Council Representative The Hon Andrew Leung. In the meeting, we stressed that Rotary is a platform that can tell good Hong Kong stories to oversea. The team also took a leisure boat trip with Rotaractors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RI President Gordon Mclnally and his spouse Heather Mclnally had a wonderful time with Rotarians and Rotaractors in District 3450. Thank you for all your warm hospitality. He highly appreciated the achievements the our District have reached for the first half of RY2023-24 such as contributing to The Rotary Foundation, cultivating membership growth and organising fantastic service projects. He urges us to share the Rotary value and opportunities and let them be proud of being part of the Rotary family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you for giving the best of yourselves to our honourable guests. School\u201d\u3001\u201cLet\u2019s Read\u201d\u3001\u201cGer for Life\u201d\u53ca \u201cTest for Life\u201d\u7b49\u670d\u52d9\u9805\u76ee\u3002\u201cToilet and Shower Facilities for Suburban School\u201d\u662f\u70cf\u862d\u5df4\u6258\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u7684\u5168\u7403\u734e\u52a9\u91d1\u9805\u76ee\uff0c\u5354\u52a9\u6709\u9700\u8981\u7684\u5b78\u6821\u8a2d\u7acb\u885b\u751f\u9593\u8207\u6dcb\u6d74\u8a2d\u65bd\uff0c\u4fbf\u5229\u5bc4\u5bbf\u7684\u5e2b\u751f\u3002\u70cf\u862d\u5df4\u6258\u548c\u5e73\u8def\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u5168\u7403\u734e\u52a9\u91d1\u9805\u76ee\u201cLet\u2019s Read\u201d\u5247\u81ea\u5404\u793e\u6536\u96c6\u82f1\u6587\u66f8\u672c\uff0c\u6350\u8d08\u4e88\u7576\u5730\u5b78\u6821\u5716\u66f8\u9928\u3002\u6b64\u9805\u76ee\u76ee\u524d\u4ecd\u5728\u9032\u884c\u4e2d\uff0c\u5982\u6709\u4efb\u4f55\u4e8c\u624b\u66f8\u672c\u53ef\u6350\u8d08\uff0c\u8acb\u8207\u8ca0\u8cac\u4eba\u806f\u7d61\u3002\u70cf\u862d\u5df4\u6258\u4e2d\u5340\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u5247\u900f\u904e\u201cGer for Life\u201d\u53ca\u201cTest for Life\u201d\u7b49\u9805\u76ee\u70ba\u8ca7\u56f0\u5bb6\u5ead\u63d0\u4f9b\u8499\u53e4\u5305\u5c45\u4f4f\uff0c\u53c8\u6d3e\u9063\u6d41\u52d5\u6aa2\u6e2c\u8eca\u524d\u5f80\u504f\u9060\u5730\u5340\u70ba\u5c45\u6c11\u9032\u884c\u91ab\u5b78\u6aa2\u6e2c\u3002\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u5c0d\u9019\u4e9b\u670d\u52d9\u5370\u8c61\u6df1\u523b\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u53ca\u5718\u968a\u8d81\u6b64\u826f\u6a5f\u524d\u5f80\u8b70\u6703\u5927\u5ec8\u8207\u8499\u53e4\u8b70\u6703\u7684\u767c\u8a00\u4eba\u6703\u9762\uff0c\u8a0e\u8ad6\u6276\u8f2a\u8207\u7576\u5730\u653f\u5e9c\u4e4b\u9593\u5408\u4f5c\u7684\u6f5b\u529b\uff0c\u63a2\u7d22\u66f4\u591a\u793e\u53cb\u5728\u7576\u5730\u958b\u5c55\u5de5\u4f5c\u7684\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\uff0c\u76f8\u4e92\u5408\u4f5c\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u5718\u968a\u4ea6\u63a5\u53d7\u7576\u5730\u570b\u5bb6\u96fb\u8996\u53f0Eagle New\u7684\u8a2a\u554f\uff0c\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u65bc\u8a2a\u554f\u4e2d\u63d0\u53ca\u7b2c9\u53ca\u7b2c10\u5340\u57df\u7684\u670d\u52d9\u9805\u76ee\u3002\u6211\u5011\u7684\u51fa\u4f5c\u4fbf\u662f\u6276\u8f2a\u6700\u4f73\u7684\u5ba3\u50b3\uff0c\u6709\u52a9\u52a0\u6df1\u793e\u6703\u5927\u773e\u5c0d\u6276\u8f2a\u7684\u8a8d\u8b58\u3002\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u4ea6\u898b\u8b49\u4e09\u500b\u65b0\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u7684\u6210\u7acb\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5011\u6b61\u8fceRotary Club of New Bridge\u3001Rotary Club of Hunnu\u53caRotary Club of Murun Khuree\u7b4970\u540d\u65b0\u793e\u53cb\u7684\u52a0\u5165\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u53ca\u5718\u968a\u5176\u5f8c\u65bc2023\u5e7411\u670816\u65e5\u524d\u5f80\u6fb3\u9580\u3002\u6211\u5011\u975e\u5e38\u611f\u8b1d\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u70ba\u6276\u8f2a\u5c11\u5e74\u670d\u52d9\u57183X3\u7c43\u7403\u676f\u63ed\u5e55\uff0c\u4e26\u5373\u5834\u737b\u6280\uff0c\u5c55\u793a\u4ed6\u7cbe\u6e5b\u7684\u7403\u6280\u3002\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u4e00\u76f4\u81f4\u529b\u57f9\u80b2\u793e\u6703\u672a\u4f86\u7684\u9818\u5c0e\uff0c\u800c\u6276\u5c11\u5718\u5718\u54e1\u4ea6\u4e0d\u8ca0\u773e\u671b\uff0c\u65bd\u5c55\u6e3e\u8eab\u89e3\u6578\u70ba\u596a\u51a0\u800c\u52aa\u529b\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u5718\u968a\u4ea6\u524d\u5f80\u62dc\u8a2a3450\u5730\u5340\u7684\u9577\u671f\u670d\u52d9\u5925\u4f34\u6276\u5eb7\u6703\u3002\u5118\u7ba1\u6211\u5011\u975e\u5e38\u9858\u610f\u63d0\u4f9b\u5354\u52a9\uff0c\u7136\u800c\u6211\u5011\u4e26\u4e0d\u80fd\u5c07\u81ea\u8eab\u60f3\u6cd5\u5f37\u52a0\u7dd2\u65bc\u53d7\u76ca\u8005\u3002\u6fb3\u9580\u6276\u5eb7\u6703\u7684\u524d\u7dda\u5de5\u4f5c\u4eba\u54e1\u5206\u4eab\u4e86\u4ed6\u5011\u7684\u670d\u52d9\u9805\u76ee\u7d93\u9a57\u548c\u60f3\u6cd5\uff0c\u4e86\u89e3\u53d7\u52a9\u8005\u7684\u9700\u8981\u3002 \u7576\u7136\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u4ea6\u628a\u63e1\u6a5f\u6703\uff0c\u8207\u7b2c1\u5340\u57df\u793e\u53cb\u4e00\u540c\u4eab\u7528\u8c50\u76db\u7684\u665a\u5bb4\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u570b\u969b\u6276\u8f2a\u793e\u9577\u845b\u767b\u2022\u9ea5\u91d1\u7d0d\u5229\u53ca\u5176\u592b\u4ebaHeather Mclnally\u5747\u8868\u793a\u82073450\u5730\u5340\u8fd1\u5341\u5929\u4f86\u7684\u76f8\u8655\u975e\u5e38\u878d\u6d3d\uff0c\u611f\u8b1d\u5404\u4f4d\u7684\u71b1\u60c5\u6b3e\u5f85\u3002\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u4ed6\u4ea6\u7279\u5225\u8b9a\u63da\u5730\u5340\u65bc\u672c\u6276\u8f2a\u5e74\u5ea6\u9996\u516d\u500b\u6708\u7684\u52aa\u529b\uff0c\u65bc\u6276\u8f2a\u57fa\u91d1\u6703\u3001\u4fc3\u9032\u793e\u54e1\u589e\u9577\u53ca\u7c4c\u8fa6\u670d\u52d9\u9805\u76ee\u65b9\u9762\u6210\u7e3e\u6590\u7136\u3002\u4ed6\u52c9\u52f5\u5404\u793e\u53cb\u81f4\u529b\u5ba3\u63da\u6276\u8f2a\u50f9\u503c\u8207\u6a5f\u6703\uff0c\u8b93\u6240\u6709\u793e\u53cb\u7686\u80fd\u5f15\u4ee5\u70ba\u69ae\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u7279\u6b64\u611f\u8b1d\u5404\u4f4d\u7684\u6089\u5fc3\u5b89\u6392\uff0c\u5411\u6211\u5011\u7684\u5609\u8cd3\u5c55\u73fe\u4e86\u6700\u771f\u5be6\u4e00\u9762\u3002\u65bc\u63a2\u8a2a\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5c55\u73fe\u81f4\u529b\u9054\u6210\u76ee\u6a19\u7684\u6c7a\u5fc3\u3001\u76f8\u4e92\u5c0a\u91cd\u3001\u901a\u529b\u5408\u4f5c\uff0c\u53ea\u56e0\u6211\u5011\u662f\u5718\u7d50\u7684\u5718\u968a\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure November 2023 at Peak Road Garden. This is the first District large-scale outdoor event in Hong Kong after the epidemic. Led by RI President Gordon and Heather Mclnally, over 500 Rotarians, Rotaractors, families and friends took part in the charity walk. RI President Gordon stressed that Rotary has always played an essential role in eradicating Polio. We were pleased to announce that a total of USD 138,000 was contributed to eradicate polio (as of 18 November 2023 morning). Every donation will be used for obtaining support, transport, and materials needed in the fight against polio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thank you End Polio Day Chair DS Alexander Cheung and his organising team for organising such a successful event. spouses joined the Intercity Meeting on 18 November evening at Regala Skycity Hotel. We were honoured to have RI President Gordon giving his word of wisdom. He shared with us his thoughts on District 3450 service projects and highly appreciated our District\u2019s commitment to the Seven Areas of Focus. He concluded his speech by urging everyone to enjoy each fruitful day in our District and in Rotary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At that evening, Major Donors were recognized. Contribution is the fuel that drives the big vessel moving. On behalf of District 3450, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the Rotarians for all your contribution. Thank you PDG Vincent TO for contributing HK$100,000 to TRF with his successful bid. Our little effort can be the greatest hope to others. The District Health Committee also took the chance to showcase mental health service. Mental health is recognizable and treatable. Participants were required to prepare their dishes with a cooker. As one of the judges, I also joined the game by demonstrating a dish with 10 ingredients, making it a perfect ten. It was eye-opening to see how creative the participants were to prepare their healthy dishes. Healthy eating is the best investment you make.Health dishes can also be mouthwatering. This project, which has been organised with Mong Kok Kai Fong Association Chan Hing Social Service Center for the Elderly for over two decades, aims to raise seniors\u2019 awareness of their physical health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 19 November, Rotarians from RC KGM, Rotaractors from Rotaract Club of Edelweiss and Interactors of Ying Wa College helped with basic measurement after a brief training. 330 seniors took basic health tests such as measuring BMI, blood pressure, blood glucose level, cholesterol and bone density. After the check-up, they received medical advice from our fellow Rotarians, PDG Y.C.Ho, PDG Eric Chak, PP Issac Yip, PP C P Fong and PP Bonnie Wong. Gift packs with daily necessities were also given to the elderly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As Rotarians, you are urged to make high-quality health care available to the vulnerable. Kindly bear it in mind that mental health is as important as physical health.
